What did Bushido build for Numa?
A housekeeping task manager for Numa's operations and housekeeping staff: a responsive web app and an internal React Native app for iOS and Android, launched within three months. Numa is a digitally operating hospitality company in Berlin. Bushido extended its in-house team with two to five people, August 2021 to February 2022.
The problem
When we joined in August 2021, Numa was in its growth stage: that year it expanded into Spain, Italy, Austria and the Czech Republic and ran more than 2,500 units (Tech.eu, 2022). Its housekeeping staff needed an app that followed the company's standard operating procedures, in three months, and one they would actually adopt.
The solution

A task manager for housekeeping.
Rooms assigned to cleaners, cleaning monitored, tasks and damage reports with notifications, and maintenance scheduling.

A backend wired to Numa's systems.
Apaleo for room availability, Auth0 for authentication and Front for communication.

The same work on staff phones.
An internal React Native app for iOS and Android, in sync with the web app.

Later, and not our outcome: in September 2023 Numa raised a $59m Series C led by Verlinvest, with 4,500 units in 28 European cities (Numa, 2023).
