What did Bushido build for Shovel?
Bushido has designed and developed Shovel with its founders since April 2019: a study planner for college students and universities that puts a calendar, task management and planning in one app and calculates time available and time needed in real time. The team is two to five.
The problem
The founders had an extremely feature-rich product in mind. It had to feel simple and intuitive, and stay fast from hundreds of users to hundreds of thousands.
The solution

Designed one app out of three tools.
Calendar, task management and planning behind one simple interface.

Counted time continuously, in real time.
The app works out the time a student has and the time their work needs, so the plan is always current.

Iterated with the founders, then stayed on.
Iterations through a long list of complicated design and UX problems, then application management and support that continues today.
